Academy-Replacement of fire and Smoke
Detection System:
In 2007 this well known
Catholic High School needed to upgrade the
wiring for their fire and smoke detection
system to comply with current NFPA standards
and make the facility safer for the young
women who attend classes there. JHS Electric
Services helped by designing and installing
the wiring and smoke detectors, fire alarm
stations, fan shut down system and automatic
door closers over the summer while school
was closed. When classes resumed in the fall
the fire and smoke detection system,
including all wiring, was new and up to date
with protection provided throughout the
facility.
East Meadow School
District- Lighting system Upgrade
During the summer of
2007 JHS Electric Services, as part of a
thorough corridor renovation I seven
schools, replaced lighting fixtures
throughout the corridors, installing
additional wiring where needed, retrofitted
emergency lighting, exit lighting, smoke
detectors, and sound system components to
accomplish this task. The corridors are all
much brighter and safer for the students.
Creedmore Psychiatric
Center-recreation area
JHS Electric Services
worked with the NYS Office of General
Services to install wiring for a recreation
area on the roof of the main building at
this facility. The new facility, with its
updated wiring and lighting affords those
unfortunate enough to require care in this
facility a place to spend time in the
outdoors, play basketball, and just relax
and congregate. JHS Electric Services
installed state of the art area lighting
inside an arched fence structure allowing
the use of the facility into the evening.
The lobby to the facility has an electric
chair lift to accommodate the handicapped,
there are indoor and outdoor rest rooms,
electric cooled drinking fountain, park
benches, and the entire facility is matted
as a play surface for sports. Security is
afforded by electrically wired door alarms.
